We have several volunteer opportunities for community members who are interested in giving back to their communities through service.
Central Maine CA$H Coalition – Are you interested in helping people get the most from their tax return? Each year, we train local volunteers to be IRS Certified Tax Preparers. A financial background is helpful but not required. During February and March, we conduct several local tax clinics and provide free tax preparation for individuals/families who earned less than $53,000 in 2013. For folks who want to help but don’t feel comfortable doing taxes, we also need Intake Workers and Greeters. Click on this link for our promotional flyer. You can also download our CA$H Coalition volunteer application.
Community Impact Teams - Our Community Impact Teams (CITs) work year-round to seek sustainable solutions in identified focus areas. They oversee funding allocations to partner agency programs and also work on community based initiatives. Our three CITs (listed below) are always looking for volunteers. Strengthening Children, Youth & Families; Promoting Independence; and Meeting Immediate Human Needs
Other Committees include Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Resource Development, Space & Facilities, and Events.
Student Internships – We often have several student internships available, such as -
