Who is United Way of Mid Maine
United Way of Mid-Maine is a local organization that creates long lasting community change by addressing
the underlying causes of our most significant local problems. We proudly serve northern Kennebec county,
Somerset county, and four towns in western Waldo county. We dedicate ourselves to advancing the
common good in our community by working with 27 partner agencies providing 35 programs that create solutions to
the problems many face every day in Mid-Maine.
By working as a team with numerous non-profit agencies, volunteers and donors like you, United Way of Mid-Maine
community partners are able to provide critical services to meet the greatest human needs in our communities
United Way of Mid-Maine is one of the 1, 300 United Way's across the country, under United Way Worldwide.
While there are several branches of United Way across the country, each United Way is a separately run organization,
with varying mission statements, policies, campaign themes & materials, and community partners. All programs,
partnerships, and contributions from mid-Maine stay in mid-Maine.
