Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP)
The Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program provides funding to help area food banks, soup kitchens, and emergency shelters. In the Mid-Maine community we have two local EFSP boards made up of representatives from Somerset County and Kennebec County. Together these two boards allocated funds to assist with rent, mortgages, utilities, meals, food pantries, and shelters.
